The Halving Is Coming!
We’re just a few days away from the next Bitcoin Halving. In the past, it’s been a significant event in the Bitcoin ecosystem. This is because the price always spikes after the Halving, and miners get rewarded 50% less if they successfully find a block.
Halving is the built-in mechanism to ensure absolute scarcity and incentivize miners to keep mining. After all, if demand stays the same but the supply decreases, the underlying asset will increase in value. There is much more to Bitcoin Halving, which we’ve written about on our blog.
How to Participate in the One Million Sats Halving Challenge
We’ll run our One Million Sats Halving Challenge for an entire month, so you’ll have plenty of time to participate.
To be able to participate, you must buy 1,000 CHF/EUR worth of Bitcoin in the span of one month until the 19th of May.
There are a few ways of how you can do this:
- It’s possible to buy 1,000 CHF/EUR directly with one single order to do it in one go.
- Or, you can set up a weekly auto-invest plan with 250 CHF/EUR per week and make sure to buy 4 times before the month runs out.
- Of course, you can also set up various small payments of 100 CHF/EUR or combine the two, buying 500 CHF/EUR once and stacking the rest with single orders.
It doesn’t matter how you achieve the threshold. As long as you bought 1,000 CHF/EUR worth of Bitcoin between April 19th and May 19th, you’re eligible to participate in the giveaway.
All of our participants will be able to win the following prices:
- 1st Place: 1,000,000 Satoshis
- 2nd Place: 100,000 Satoshis
- 3rd Place: 50,000 Satoshis
At the end of the month, we’ll randomly select the winners. They’ll get the Sats directly sent to their Relai wallet.
