You Can Now Connect Your Hardware Wallet to the Relai App

We have an exciting update to the Relai app! No more manual transfers. Every time you buy Bitcoin through Relai, it lands directly in your own hardware wallet. Your keys, your coins, from day one.

In this article, you will find out how the new connection works, where to set it up in the app, and why it’s probably the best path forward to secure your coins for the future.

What’s New?

For the past few months, we have been working hard to make it easy for you to connect your hardware wallet to the Relai app.

And we’re happy to announce that this feature is now available in the latest version of the app.

Going forward, you can now connect your hardware wallet directly to the Relai app and buy straight into self-custody.

You can do this for both single-buy orders and for auto-invest plans.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Another great thing about the new feature, besides that your Bitcoin is immediately in cold storage, is the selection of hardware wallets we work with.

If you have a Ledger, Trezor, Bitbox, Coldcard, or any signature-enabled Bitcoin wallet, you can now connect it to Relai.

To get started, you need your Relai app ready, a laptop or computer, and about 10 minutes of your time.

1.) Update your Relai app to the latest version.

2.) Go to https://wallet.relai.app/login and have your phone ready.

3.) Scan the QR code with your phone to log in to our web view.

4.) Once that is done, you can click the blue button to add the wallet address.

5.) Select the external hardware wallet you would like to use, then continue.

6.) The first time around, you need to sign the new address with your hardware wallet.

7.) Follow the step-by-step instructions to connect your wallet and sign the new device.

8.) Once you have signed the message, our system will show you a success screen.

9.) Congratulations, you have successfully saved your new wallet address.

10.) Going forward, you will be able to see this address when creating an order if you select “External Address” as your final destination for sending the coins.

What to Expect in the Future

This marks the start of a new era for Relai users. From now on, you can directly stack your coins to your own hardware wallet.

We embrace self-custody and full control over every single sat in your wallet, and through this connection, you can safeguard your wealth even more.

But we’re not stopping there. You can expect many more updates like this in the coming months.

We will always update you on all our channels. From this blog, to our newsletter, or our social media accounts. Make sure to follow us everywhere to never miss an update.
